The concert was totally different from the usual A-Mei concert.  We had enjoyed ourselves.  A-Mei had stepped out of her comfort zone and tried a ROCK style concert.  A-Mei really ROCKS!

Irresponsible and inconsiderate driver at IMM

I saw this hateful car on one of the weekend at IMM, Jurong.

Dun find excuses for the driver that they are rushing to go to the loo, etc.  It’s all rubbish!

The young couple had parked the car there blocking the lane and slowly stepped out of the car and IGNORED our stares!

I was so disturbed and Bernice asked me to take pictures.

They are such an irresponsible and inconsiderate driver!

How I wish the vehicle will be wheel-clamped!

Chinese calligraphy

I was considering in enrolling Bernice to children Chinese calligraphy class for Bernice, as I was thinking it could train Bernice’s posture, patience and also her writing too. While I was looking around, I chance upon asking a friend for any recommendations. To my surprise, her response was:” this does not benefit to their academic study in school.’

Of course, she is right too.

But it makes me wonders….

1) Am I too lenient towards Bernice’s study? Cos it seems that I am not that engaging in getting her ready for primary education. I don’t really revise her work after school/work as I feel so ‘torturing’ for her to study again after school since she is in full day childcare. I wonder if she is on track in her education.

Will she be ready for primary education?

2) Are most Singaporean parents like that? Focus only in children’s academic forgetting the needs of cultivating other values and interests? Is that the reasons where I have friends migrating to Australia as I was told that they find Singapore is a stress environment for their children?

It’s never easy to be a parent. It’s difficult to strike a balance in education and teaching them not forgetting bonding with them, spending quality time .

Hate cold callers!

I have been getting strange cold callers offering all sort of service from massage packages, spa, facial treats, credit cards, manicures, shop opening offers etc.  All these calls just makes me reject or ignore those unfamiliar numbers.

I will only answer whenever I have the mood to ‘entertain’ (verbal reject) them. Else i will have numberouse missed calls everyday, taking the risk that I might miss any important calls.

Can anyone stop this? 

It’s getting very unhealthy!  I believe I am not the only one having this issue.

There are some callers who are kind of rude when u reject their ‘once in a lifetime’ offers and freebies.  Telling you that IT’s YOUR MISTAKE and LOSS to miss it and yet refused to hang up.

I was at the verge to say F**K U!  But most of the time, I am in the office. In a few occasions ,I just say that I am not interested and hang up bluntly.

It’s so waste of my moblie batt span, my time and energy.

I do pity them to do this job and hate them to bother me.

I am too late for the Genting session on 19 and 20 March.  Most of the tickets are sold out during that 2 days.  So disappointed. 

Her 10 sessions in Hk were super FULL!  I was so tempted to go but no more leave and its near Christmas and I need to spend time with Bernice too.

Wondering if I should go Taipei ofr July’s concert. (** Super tempted**)

Counting Down

Chinese new year is only 3 weeks away from now.  I am so looking forward to the new year.  I sound silly hor (singlish)??

I have lots of preperation to make before new year but I hope that the year of Tiger will be better than this year.

HAPPY NEW YEAR. WELCOME 2010

I know I am very late for the new year wishing.

I have been rather busy with everything. Well and veri depressed too.

I failed my driving test AGAIN! Argh…

Gotto try again.  I didnt really have a good start for the new year.

But I have a new haircut to start the year with.. COCONUT fringe (that wat my friends comment)

Not very used to the full block of fringe hence I always brush it to the side.

I am not sure if I should set any new year resolution this year as it have been bad enough for me.  Just wish everyting is smooth and safe.

Any new year resolution? Still considering.

Bad Christmas Eve

Christmas is over and New Year is coming!

 I spend my Christmas’ Eve at ‘Ah Pek’s pub’ which you can find either Ah Bengs or Ah Pek as they are there for good beer deals.

The beer there is priced very reasonable but I don’t really want to spend Christmas like any other day mah.

Anyway, it was ‘too late’ (as per my accompanies of the night) to move to other places.

Some ‘comments’ of the night that I have:

There are 3 waitresses in the pub (2 SG and 1 non SG).

My friends were commenting that the non SG was always bullied by the rest.  (Lets name her ‘S’).

S is the one whom turn up early for work, open gates, do the washing, etc and the other 2 gals will turn up for work.

The usual unfairness comments that S is bullied and suffering goes on and on.  ‘We’ (as in my friends) feel unfair for her, no justice, blah blah.

Till I reached a stage that I commented.

 1) I don’t know her well enough to give any comments.  I was back fired that I was raciest?!

I was like WTF?!  

I don’t know her and I barely know her for more than 2 hours I ‘know’ her from your conversation lor. It’s a fact that I don’t need to know her too.   

I have no intention to start a friendship with her and it was my 1^st time to the pub!

I was labeled as tat?  Is it fair to me?

2)  It is her job to open the gates, do the washing etc.  She is doing her job!  Nothing special or anything out of her job scope. 

Why are they giving S the ‘同情’ points?  

Maybe it’s true that she does more than the rest, she should talk to her boss about that.  She should voice out her thoughts and situations.  It is not within the customers’ capacity to do anything.  

If I will be her boss I will feel so embarrassed lor as it like I am not a good boss and my staff is complaining to customers.

It is common in any working environment to have unfair job allocation as it is very difficult to manage and gauge the fairness factor in job assignment and accomplished.

By saying this I was labeled as BITCH as I am so cold and heartless.

I gave up talking about it.  Feeling unhappy but not willing to unhappy further.

I had decided that I will not go to any pub for New Year’s Eve.  

I would rather to sleep at home than to go thur this kind of ‘discussion’ session again.
